What is RESOLUTION?
We are here talk about resolution, yes, you see it clear, it is resolution not revolution.
When saying resolution, it is with regards to image (artwork file).People thinking about printing items like books, stickers,or any other printing service, will request a clear and saturated printing effect. But how a printing service company who engaged in the field of craft and scrap booking supplies like us to achieve this goal? The answer is “resolution”
In YYOYIART, we will request a at least 300dpi art files to ensure that the finished product look high quality and professional.
Professionally speaking, resolution between300-400 dpi is the best.Any data beyond 400 dpi is also not goods as the files will become bigger and slow down the production.
Per experience, customers will submit the low resolution artwork in png. and image file, like 72dpi(this is most of the file or artwork we can find or download as free resource)but the print effect will be far beyond your needs.
When our designer help to check through the file and request a high resolution artwork, most customers will also “do their best” (we know you make your efforts)to open the artwork in Photoshop and manually increasing the resolution setting. This way just increase the size of pixels and won’t actually increase the resolution and this way is called upsampling.
Here a photo show as reference what is the effect of 300-400 resolution and what is looks like of 72dpi.
